And so Link travelled on, defeating the evils inside each temple, North, West, and East. Fate was on Link's side, as he received two more transformation masks, the Goron and Zora masks. He also collected many other masks from the residents of Termina, such as the Stone Mask, the Mask of Truth, and the strange All-Night's Mask. Some of these masks are now in the Musical Mask Shop today.
Finally, Link had everything he needed to annihilate the Skull Kid. Entering the Clock Tower at 12:00 on the third day, he attacked the Skull Kid again, and remembered the Oath to Order...
When he played it, the four giants majestically appeared from the four sides of Clock Town, stopping the moon from falling. But then the mask that was on the Skull Kid came to life itself, and so did the moon.
"I..will...consume. I will consume...everything..."
Link was then warped to a different reality...a reality where Majora reigned.
He talked to four different children running around a tree in the center of the land. They wanted to play, and they wanted some masks. Being a generous person, Link went into each of their respective "playing" fields and gave each of them some masks until he only had his transformation masks left. Wondering how he could defeat Majora only with those masks, he talked to a lonely kid sitting near the tree.
He wanted to have some fun as well...But apparently, instead of Link giving him masks, he gave Link a mask. This mask was the legendary Fierce Deity's Mask.
When worn, the Fierce Diety's Mask gave Link unbelievable powers. He could fire beams from his sword, for instance (with a magical cost, of course). He faced Majora's Mask, and using the Fierce Deity's Mask, he easily knocked it out, making it turn into the quick, lightning-fast Majora's Incarnation, which was also easily defeated. Majora apparently did not expect Link to have such a powerful weapon, as when it transformed into its "ultimate" form, Lilnk still destroyed it without breaking a sweat.
And so, the moon was destroyed. Peace was again over Termina...for now.
